Mr Oudai Ali

Consultant Gynaecologist

Oudai is a highly regarded consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with a passion for ultrasound and gynaecological surgery. He qualified with distinction from the College of Medicine, Al Nahrain University (Mesopotamia), Baghdad, Iraq in 1997. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in the UK between 1999 and 2012, which included a 2-year fellowship in oncology and one year in endometriosis surgery. He was awarded the Memberships of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2003, Royal College of Physicians in 2008, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2009 and more recently, the Diploma in Medical Ultrasound from Cardiff University in 2019. He was appointed to his first consultant post in 2012 before moving to West Cumberland NHS Trust in Whitehaven, Cumbria in 2014 where he perfected his skills in ultrasound, gynaecological oncology and vaginal surgery. He pioneered a new technique in vaginal hysterectomy in his hospital and subsequently in the UK, called Vnotes (Vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endovaginal Surgery) and is accredited as a national trainer in this technique. He furthered his career by moving to Epsom Hospital in November 2021 as a consultant Gynaecologist. He has published widely in the field of ultrasound, endometriosis and pelvic surgery, and is a member of many UK, European and International Professional Societies. At Oak Tree clinic, Mr Ali is a visiting consultant from his main base in Epsom and together with Professor Amso, is actively introducing the Vnotes technique in Wales. Oudai has also been a faculty member of our sister company, Medical and Educational Academy and contributes to the ultrasound and applied surgical practice programmes.
