Dr Vijay Anand qualified in India in 1994 and completed his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine, earning an MD with a thesis on “Non-ulcer dyspepsia.” He undertook further specialist training in Gastroenterology before moving to the UK in 2003. He qualified as a GP in 2008 and became a GP Trainer in 2013 after completing training at Keele University. Since then, he has been working as a GP Partner and Trainer at St David’s Clinic in Newport, Gwent. He is multilingual and able to consult in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.
His approach to care is strongly patient-centred, and he takes pride in fostering a supportive, collaborative environment. Both patients and colleagues frequently commend his attentive listening, empathy, and team-based approach to care. Over the years, he has developed a reflective and mature approach to professional growth.
