Dr Mirka Slavska gynaecologist menopause and fibroids

Dr Slavska is a consultant Gynaecologist with interest in menopause and fibroids and over 15 years’ experience in women’s health. Her practice revolves around evidence based holistic care. She supports, educates and empowers women to fully understand their treatment options. Hence, enables them to optimise their choices leading to better health, better quality of life and happiness.

Mirka completed her Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialty training in the Welsh Deanery. Throughout this process, she developed passion for non-cancerous gynaecological problems. She has obtained the advanced certificate in management of Benign Gynaecological conditions. In her career, she developed interest in the management of the menopause and fibroids. She believes perimenopausal and postmenopausal health are of prime importance and deserve particular attention. Dr Slavska can advise and treat complex perimenopausal and menopausal issues, prescribe HRT. She is registered BMS menopause specialist..

Likewise, to support her clinical practice, she pursued training in gynaecological ultrasound scanning culminating in the award of the RCOG Ultrasound Assessment Proficiency Certificate. In order to provide a well-rounded care for women, she also acquired a Diploma in Family planning and sexual health. Additionally, within her hospital, she is a Simulation Education Lead for Gynaecology. Mirka is a co-founder of Gynaecological Emergency Multidisciplinary Simulation (GEMS) training, which is accredited by Association for Simulation Practice in Healthcare. She is an author of revision books for the MRCOG exam, co-author of local NHS guidelines. Mirka is a registered trainer for Early Pregnancy and Benign Gynaecological disease Special Interest Training Modules.
